Who I work with
Two people who are tired of the same conversation.
Most couples arrive later than they meant to. Not in crisis exactly, but worn down, careful with each other, and quietly wondering whether this is just what it is now.
Two hours, and here is why
A couples session runs two hours. Fifty minutes with two people in the room means one of you is still explaining when time is called, and you drive home with it open. Two hours is enough to get underneath the argument and come back up together. It is almost two sessions in one.
I do not take sides and I do not referee
You have both been reasonable and you are both defending something real. My job is not to work out who is right about the incident, which is never the actual subject, but to find what each of you is protecting and why the other person's protection sets it off.
Both of you have to be willing
Not enthusiastic. Willing. One person dragging the other in works badly, and I would rather say that on the fifteen minute call than three sessions in.
What people in this position usually bring
- The same argument, for years
- One pursues and one withdraws
- Trust that was broken and has not been repaired
- Deciding whether to stay
- Long marriages that have gone quiet
How I would work with this
You are not broken. Your relationship is not either.
Start with a free 15 minute call
We talk, you ask questions, and you decide if this is right for you. No pressure either way.
