Live Your Vision, programs for teens
Our teen programs use an experiential, animal based approach to self discovery. Individual and family sessions, a weekly group for ages 13 to 17, custom programs for youth groups and single day clinics.
Teens learn about themselves and others by taking part in structured activities with the horses, then reflecting on the behaviours and patterns that appeared. Insight arrives through analogy rather than lecture. By connecting what happened in the arena to people and situations at home or at school, a teen starts to examine their own choices without being told to.
Why horses reach teens
A horse cannot lie. That makes it invaluable for seeing what a young person may be hiding or working around. Horses communicate almost everything they feel through body language, and roughly 85 percent of human communication is non verbal too. Put those together and barriers come down fast.
One student walked around a horse sizing it up. The horse turned its body in time with her, head cocked and slightly away, mirroring both the curiosity and the apprehension she had not said out loud. Nobody had to explain it to her.
What teens take away
- Confidence that comes from doing, not from being reassured
- A clearer read on their own body language and its effect on others
- Practice with boundaries, patience and asking for what they want

A short call is enough to work out whether the group, a family session or a single day clinic is the better fit.
